This is my own small brood of percheron draft horses in late October 2004. A pair of heavy-weight grade percherons and a pair of registered medium weight filly colts.

The Grain Binder. Harvesting oats with a 3-horse hitch pulling the binder in preparation for a threshing day event held on their farm. The event was attended by others interested in draft horses.

Some brought their own horses including this team of 3 American Belgians. The event took place in July of 1999 near Des Moines Iowa.

Field demonstration day at a local Antique Tractor and Steam Power show in Waukee Iowa. Live demonstrations of plowing and disking with draft horses were offered throughout the weekend. Wagon rides pulled by draft horses were also offered for visitors to tour the show grounds.

Binding Grain with horsepower. - CLICK HERE TO SEE MOREDecember 2000. This was my first team of percherons. I purchased them as 2 year olds. At left is photo of a holiday wagon ride just before they turned 3. More photos of them are inside.

These were the first draft horses that I owned. In the spring of 2002 this team was replaced with a large heavy weight team of mares.
